I Found a New Love!

I have been on this journey of trying to find the things that I love and what makes me, well … me! I found my new love! I found something that makes me come alive and want to go all over the place just to find more of them.

Want to know what it is??????

Hiking trails! Did you guess it?

Today I went to Bon Echo and I saw all of the amazing things you can do there, like kayak, canoe, go on a ferry ride, camping and so much more! But then I also found the thing that I love even more. The 4.8 kilometre hike! It was off to the left so if you blinked you might miss it. It was a moderate hike, but it was perfect.

The ups and the downs, the rocks and stumps in the path made it even more exciting! I know it might not be for everyone, but for me. It was just what I needed and I actually felt like I was hiking. Not just going for a walk.

I was accompanied by a good number of bugs along the path, which I will better prepare for next time I decide to go on a hike, but it wasn’t too bad. I was the only one on the trail so I didn’t feel the need to small talk with anyone or to bring myself to smile if need be. I had no makeup on and it was just kind of perfect for me. I had a very hard week so getting away into nature and challenging myself was just what the doctor ordered.

I might have taken a wrong turn or two and also debated going back as I thought I wouldn’t make it all the way through. But the trail was actually perfectly marked with yellow, orange and blue signs so it was actually great! I don’t always have the best directions, so having it so clearly marked was actually perfect for me.

There is something about getting out in nature that I love! I have always loved the outdoors, walking and exercise of any form, but this was just perfect. I will defintely be going back to check out the other trails and other things that are available there.

For today, I didn’t want to be around people so I decided to go to the road less traveled and it did not disappoint! Definitely a 5 out of 5 if you want to go on a hike that will give you a good challenge, but is also well marked out! I am definitely going to bring bug spray next time, but other than that it was great!

Also, a side note! How have I never been to Bon Echo Provincial Bark before! It is absolutely beautiful! The whole surrounding area is also gorgeous! I went for a little drive while I was there as well and it was gorgeous!

If you have time you should definitely check it out! My friend and I want to go back and do some canoeing or kayaking! Will keep you updated as I check out new places and do new things!

Cheers

My Journey to Finding What I Love!

There is something special about opening a new book and beginning to read what is in it. I love learning and so it gives me a great pleasure to dive into the pages of new books. I have started a new course in my program and I am loving it.

I am taking a program that is training me to become a certified holistic nutritionist. Like many students, I don’t know what I am going to do with it. But I know that I am extremely interested about the topics in this course. They are already helping me grow and learn about my health and the environment around me.

I completed the first course a couple of weeks ago. I was actually surprised how much is taken into account when talking about health. When I began this course, I thought that physical exercise and eating was the only things affecting my health.

Oh boy, was I ever wrong!

The first course started my brain in a whole new train of thinking. And now I know that there is so much more to learn! With each new lesson I am learning more about what affects our health.

My fitness journey started about five years ago. It has been an up and down process and also slow going at times. But it is now accelerating at a fast rate. It is growing with leaps and bounds and I am so excited to be on this path!

The current book I am reading is about 1,000 pages and filled with a whole bunch of fun information! I have spent several years trying to figure out what I love and I think I have finally found it.

I always felt like I was slow and behind everyone else, but it wasn’t true. I just didn’t find the path that I was supposed to be on. Now that I have I can actually see that there is no one to compare myself to.

There’s only myself to look at and I am on the right track. My life started to change when I stopped looking at everyone around me and started looking at me. I have a different path than other people and that is good!

When I was in my twenties, I tried many different things and found what I love and don’t love. In my mid to late 20s, I found fitness and nutrition and from there everything started to change. It is like something lit up inside of me and I can drink, eat, and learn fitness and nutrition. I was made for this!

If I can give you one peace of advice I would tell you this. Find you, find what you love and keep trying new things. One day, you will find that thing that lights your soul up.

It may take years or just a couple of days. But that’s okay! Everybody’s pace is different.

Sometimes when I start to feel stressed or anxious about where I am in life. I remind myself that I am right where I am supposed to be. My path looks different and just because I may feel like I am behind, I am not. All I can do is take is one step at a time.

Have you ever felt behind in life? What do you find helps when you start feeling that way?

I am excited to be on this beautiful journey of life!

Join me on my journey of becoming who I was created to be!

Cheers!
